Why so... Mysterious?

Here's the intro to the book I'm writing: The Mysterious Chalet

It was summer again. I could feel it inthe air as I rode my bike to Harbore Du Bria. The evening air smelled just likethe fish I was asked to get. My name is Natalie Desjardins. I live in Sainte-Thérèse-de-Gaspé, Quebec, which is near the town of Perce. My father,Alphonse Desjardins, works at a post office next to the Sainte-Thérèse Church. My mother works at a fish shop in the harbor. A church lies obviously next to agraveyard but next to the graveyard is a gate. On the gate is a sign that says PrivateProperty. No Trespassing. All that we know is that the family that used to livethere, left. They still own it and visit it every summer, but that is it.

Summer

I love vacation. Its the only time I can hang out with friends for hours. And traveling is so much fun. All you need is an imagination and a suitcase. Enjoy the rest of vacation as you have it. <3 everyone

Well, I guess I've been waiting too long to post something. Last January was the last time I posted if I am correct. Hm... I'll think of something.

Missing my other home...

I am really missing Germany. I don't know why, but I guess it's because my friend emailed me after I hadn't heard from her since 4th grade. My Oma left in the beginning of December, and my french-German friends I last saw this summer. Luckily I have ways of keeping in touch with them. Of coarse there's always the food. When my Oma's here, she makes spaetzle, A really good egg-noodle plate. YUM! Than there's candy, like: Eatable paper, Waltmiester (wood druft), Gummy Bears, etc. And, one thing to use all your money up at, The Flea Market. I bought TONS of stuff at the first flea market I ever went to. Lucky me, we're going to Germany this summer. YES!

Songs to Last

I'm a singer. I sing with my choir every Wednesday. Sometimes on Thursdays and some Sundays. I can still remember the day my mom told me I was auditioning for the choir. It was a Tuesday afternoon. My sister and I just got back from school and where eating a snack. My mom walked into the room, telling me I was going to audition for the choir. She told me all about it and gave a practice audition. I was exited and nervous, But boy am I glad I did! We learned some amazing pieces. Last year we had to memorize a piece called Freedom Trilogy. Its in African and really fun to sing. Last summer though, Our choir directer told us he was leaving the choir. We thought it was the end of the world, But I was lucky enough to get someone who I think is amazing. Our new choir directer was only temporary, but he got the full job a couple of weeks ago. It's been so much fun in the choir and can't wait till Easter, when we sing the happiest songs on earth.

Alphabet Soup - letter N

N is for noose. Still in the challenge, the latest letter was 'N'. I was sitting on my couch trying to decide on an object. the words noodles, nice, new, and never first came to my head. My mother had already chosen noodles, when all the other words were verbs, adjectives, adverbs, Etc. Like usual, my head wandered. I began thinking about a book I read last year. It was Blood on the River. At one part, one of the important characters was about to be hung. By a noose. Noose. That's it!! I thought. The 'N' word I was looking for. Noose. I tied a string around my rabbit's neck and took the picture. Noose is definitely the word I was looking for.
